The Throne of Hawks
A new Evil arises in the land of Erland, after a thousand years and a young man named Kennard Hightower finds himself given the task of facing it, just as a Savior was raised up before.
“Justice? What justice? Oh, you are speaking of right and wrong, good and evil, am I right? Do you know who determines such things? Those with the power!”

About Me
K L Huskey
I'm the little guy in the bottom-center of the picture. The picture was taken of me and my siblings, sometime around Christmas
in 1965.
I was born July 26, 1959 in St. Louis Missouri, the third son of Homer and Deloris Huskey. One of seven children, I graduated High School in Tustin, California, and after serving four years in the Coast Guard, I did various jobs until becoming a printer for the last thirty years.
My Inspiration
Why The Throne of Hawks Might Be for You
‘This is a story of faith. I truly love reading all kinds of genres, but my inspiration comes from fantasy fiction more than anything else, because I feel it is easier to say necessary things through fantasy adventure than in a fictional contemporary story. My faith is in our Lord Jesus; however, this story is not about Christianity (though I would say it’s close). It is about having faith in God, in family, and in friends. I hope it will be appealing to some of you.
‘The Holy Bible’, is an inspiration (though not when I started writing the book). And the Professor, Mr. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings), and his many imitators, too numerous to mention. Jim Butcher’s, ‘The Dresden Files’ is my favorite series. The most beautiful story I have ever read is by Patricia McKillips, ‘The Forgotten Beasts of Eld'. I also drew from my nearly fifty years of studying Hollywood films. For those who wish to read, there are a ton of movie references in this story.’
